ABOUT THE COURSE: Medical laboratory technology (MLT) is a branch of science that deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases using clinical laboratory test. Medical laboratory technologists perform most of their tasks such as preparation of slides, human tissues or other specimens, using laboratory equipment.

TECHNOLOGY: The scope has expanded with a number of opportunities have been on the rise. A number of medical laboratory technologist find employment in pathology lab, research labs, pharmaceuticals and hospitals. Apart from the above opportunities, an aspirant can also pursue a career in the education line. The job outlook is very positive meaning that with a little experience and a solid education under your belt, you are likely to find success in this field.

ROLE OF MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST : Medical laboratory technicians/technologist play a critical role in health system by performing lab test on body fluids cells and tissues, MLTS in various specialities collect and process specimens, analyze results, and interpret finding.

ATTENDENCE: Every student required to attend at least 80% of the classes in each subject, less attendance my be debar the student from appearing in the examination.
